A growing video game streamer approached me to create custom art for his channel. The project included designing background art, character illustrations, and emotes to enhance the stream's visual identity and engage the audience.
During our initial meetings, the streamer shared his vision for the channel's aesthetic, emphasizing a cohesive and engaging visual style that reflected his gaming persona and community. We discussed themes, color palettes, and specific elements he wanted to include.
To create a unique identity, I illustrated a character avatar resembling a mind flayer from Dungeons & Dragons, but also included clothing that was fitting for a gamer. This character was designed to be versatile, appearing in various poses and expressions that could be used in different contexts within the stream.
I designed a series of backgrounds that could be used across different segments of the stream as well as stylistic frames that could be around the video he streamed. These backgrounds were tailored to match the streamer's brand and included elements related to the character I illustrated.
Emotes are a crucial part of engaging a streamer's community. I designed a set of emotes featuring the character avatar in different expressions and actions, making them relatable and fun for the audience to use during live chats.
Throughout the project, I ensured that all art pieces were stylistically consistent, reinforcing the streamer's brand identity. The color schemes, line work, and thematic elements were carefully chosen to create a unified look across the channel.
