Tales From The Catacombs, a YouTube channel dedicated to playing Dungeons & Dragons, approached me to design their logo. The channel wanted a logo that embodied the atmospheric feel of catacombs and reflected the essence of the Dungeons & Dragons universe.
I met with the team to understand their vision and expectations. They expressed a desire for a design that conveyed the mysterious and immersive ambiance of catacombs, using warm colors to enhance this theme.
I developed multiple design concepts, focusing on blending elements of catacombs with iconic Dungeons & Dragons symbols. After refining the ideas, we arrived at a final concept: a stylized "C" for Catacombs, shaped like a d20 die—a central element in D&D gameplay.The chosen design incorporated textures and dimensionality to evoke a sense of ancient stone and depth, aligning with the catacomb theme. I also provided a flat version for versatile use, ensuring the logo remained effective in various contexts, from digital to print.
In addition to the textured and flat logo versions, I provided a web-accessible color palette, making it easy for the channel to maintain brand consistency across their digital platforms.
The logo effectively captures the spirit of Tales From The Catacombs, resonating with both the channel's content and audience. The design has been well-received, enhancing the channel's visual identity and brand recognition.
